Bitget, LaLiga Partner to Boost Crypto Adoption in Southeast Asia

Crypto exchange Bitget has announced a strategic partnership with LaLiga, Spain's top-tier football league, to accelerate crypto adoption in Southeast Asia and Latin America. The multi-million dollar deal will see Bitget become LaLiga's official crypto partner in these regions.

The collaboration, unveiled at Token2049 in Singapore on Thursday, aligns with both parties' shared vision of innovation and growth, Bitget representatives said.

According to the announcement, LaLiga's global reach and passionate fanbase will provide Bitget with a significant platform to introduce crypto to new audiences. In return, LaLiga will benefit from Bitget's expertise in Web3 solutions and its commitment to promoting crypto education.

This announcement comes on the heels of Bitget's recent expansion into new markets and the launch of several new products and services.

"This agreement is very important for LaLiga's international expansion, as it shows the strategic importance of Asia and territories such as Turkey and LATAM," said Octavi Anoro, International Development Director at LaLiga. "We know that LaLiga has fans all over the world and that these fans are on the cutting edge regarding innovation. This type of agreement helps us to get closer to this type of audience in these strategic markets and to highlight our shared values."

Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, added, "Partnering with LaLiga allows us to accelerate the growth of crypto in sports, bringing new opportunities for fans and athletes alike.… We believe this collaboration will enhance the experience for over a billion people as it sets a path for broader adoption of Web3 in emerging markets."

The partnership will focus on a range of initiatives, including joint marketing campaigns, fan engagement activities, and the development of new crypto-related products and services. Bitget will also explore opportunities to leverage LaLiga's data and analytics capabilities to enhance its trading platform.

Established in 2018, Bitget serves over 25 million users in 100+ countries and regions, according to its website. The exchange is also the official crypto partner for football goat Lionel Messi and the sleeve sponsorship partner Serie A club Juventus.
