MIMOS, the applied research and development arm of the Malaysian Government, has signed an MoU with the Worldcoin Foundation, Tools for Humanity (TFH) and e-government services provider MyEG, to integrate Worldcoin technology into the country’s digital infrastructure.

According to an announcement from Worldcoin, the partnership with Malaysia is a pivotal step towards improving the country’s digital identity systems.

Additionally, the partnership will assess the feasibility of potential local manufacturing of Orbs, TFH's hardware and software tools for human verification.

Worldcoin’s technology is designed to provide a secure and reliable method for verifying individual identities through a process known as proof-of-humanity. This protocol leverages advanced biometric and cryptographic techniques to ensure that each individual is uniquely identified and that their identity remains secure.

The integration of Worldcoin’s technology will involve utilizing biometric verification methods to ensure that each person is accurately and uniquely identified. This approach is expected to address key challenges in the current identification processes, providing a more transparent and tamper-proof solution.
